3日，美国智库「2049计划协会」研究员易思安 (Ian Easton) 发表新书《中国入侵威胁：台湾防御与美国亚洲战略》(The Chinese Invasion Threat – 英文每日邮报连结)，其中提及他取得中共解放军已拟好2020年前攻台的相关秘密内部文件，掀起中共2020武力犯台话题。
不过现在军事专家出面打脸，指出长江三峡大坝距离远，台湾飞弹根本起不了作用。国政基金会高级助理研究员揭仲表示：「距离远，过程中很容易被拦截，三峡大坝坝堤的设计非常坚固，所以少数几枚，即便是熊二E飞的到，恐怕也没办法造成很大的损失。」
「中国大陆军事目标真的很多，台湾现有武器的数量恐怕都还不够，国防部从未把民生列为攻击目标。基本上还是把这些武器用来攻击中国的军事目标，目的是要拖慢他们的作战节奏，让作战计画跟不上进度。现在中国大陆一心想速战速决，在最短时间创造战果，让美国和日本觉得现在干涉也来不及了。」
